The following story is from Khaleesi’s facebook. A rescued Afghan Hound who was found in Japan extremely emaciated, neglected and abused…
Kahleesi was rescued from the Okinawa Prefecture Animal Protection and Control Center (Ozato) on Okinawa, Japan by Doggies Inc Animal Rescue.
****Khaleesi is currently in the care of Doggies Inc Animal Rescue in Okinawa Japan – 9/8/14 Khaleesi was rescued by Doggies Inc. August 20, 2014 from the Okinawa Prefecture Animal Protection & Control center in Okinawa Japan (nicknamed Ozato). Not much is known about Khaleesi’s past as she was found on the streets in a city called Ishikawa . She an afghan hound between 6-8 years old. Shortly after we saw her in Ozato one of our members emailed an afghan rescue group in southern California who agreed if we could get her well they would take her and find her a home. Our journey has just begun with Khaleesi and we are honored that so many people have joined in to support her.

Day 4 Day 20
The world loves Khaleesi. Each dot marks a donation (multiple donations in one area only yields one marker)
Khaleesi had a restless night. She really wants to get up but just doesn’t have the strength in her legs yet. She had a snack in the middle of the night and ate all of her meat this morning. She now likes to pick the meat out of her other food lol Another day closer to a healthier you Khaleesi!
Day 5 pictures. No vet visits today. Khaleesi is not eating as much as she did yesterday and seems a little down. Hopefully she’ll have a better day tomorrow. She will be going back to the vet tomorrow evening (7pm Tokyo time) where Dr. Ike will be re-dressing her wounds and perhaps drain the rear right leg that has a lot of fluid below the stifle.
Thanks for taking time out of your day to think about our Khaleesi.
